I really enjoyed these little dreams - especially the cat and Shakespeare ones!

I had heard the general story of the Bender family but really appreciated the background information the author gave about the politics of the time, and the attention paid to the victims' lives.

This was a great, vintage-inspired horror that isn't too scary! Super fun and great for Stranger Things fans who want some nostalgia and hijinks.

I LOVED this so much! The magic system, Laura's personality, the way Ireland weaves in history and myth and social commentary all into a great story.

I hope there is a sequel!!

I liked this but for some reason it felt very much like the first one. It isn't necessarily a bad thing - I love a trope! - but it just didn't work for me. Still pretty fun though!

I enjoyed this coming of age story a lot. On some ways, I feel like it suffers in comparison to Last Night at the Telegraph Club but I think that is because it's SO good almost anything would feel like a let down.

I really enjoyed this and learned lots of fun facts about the history of alcohol!

I randomly read this on Hoopla - was I on the desk? I'll never tell! - and it might not have been the best to start with. I was a little confused and didn't put together the “twist” until reading some reviews. I can see the appeal for middle schoolers, tho!

I enjoyed this but didn't love it - maybe I should have read the Young Reader's edition because my mind would wander during the more intense passages about electron shells and such . . . just like I stopped paying attention in high school chemistry!

Gorgeous and heartbreaking. The sparse, poetic text fits so well with the art. A plea for justice that should be read by all.

Beautiful and unsettling art - of course! - with a creepy mishmash of fairy tales.

Oooh a twisted summer camp cult?! Delicious.

This was so sweet and totally made me cry. Warga does such a good job with Res' “humanity” that you will have to stop and remind yourself every so often that rovers don't actually have feelings. (Or so we think.)

This was great and Thimble was the best! My only complaint was this: TWO beds?!

Henderson's work is gorgeous - I only wish it was longer!!

I tagged this as horror though I didn't find it especially scary, more just eerie and spooky. I really liked the political aspect of it and the Jim Jones-esque cult leader that's including. A great
abandoned spaceship story with depth.

I loved this! I think the author did such a great job capturing the dynamics of sisters that are really different from each other. The characters were so well developed that they felt like real teens! I'm excited to see what else this author writes because this is a great debut!

At first I struggled because some of the writing was very debut-novelly but then I got used to it! Props to the author for a great slow burn and finally giving us smooches in a giant robot! I'm intrigued to see where the second half of the story goes.

This was great! I like Keefe's writing and while some pieces I liked more than others - the wine one because I love to see rich people getting scammed and Amy Bishop - others weren't quite as interesting but still good.
