Spin off comics about the teachers WHEN?!

This is maybe my favorite one so far. I'm glad Charlie gets help and it's so sweet to see jock and Charlie's relationship mature.

Also, love the mini comic about the teachers and Tao's Instagram posts were the best!

I enjoyed this though it took me a bit to finish. There was some dragging in the middle but if you want a group of kick-ass ladies trying to take down an evil empire in space, this is for you!

This pairs well with Amanda Montell's Cultish in terms of discussing conspiracies and extreme/fringe beliefs. I do wish that he went a little bit more into why it happens like Montell did, but still a great read!

I really liked this loose retelling of Jane Eyre! I found the magic, folklore, and worldbuilding to be so fascinating. Blackwood puts an interesting spin on a classic.

Fun but without a lot of substance. Perhaps in the second volume they'd do more with the idea of Arthur as a racist/nationalist villain.

This was great! I really loved how non western desserts and stories were included.

This was a great thriller! Perfect for fans of true crime - and who like interrogating their fascination with true crime - and writers like Mindy McGinnis. This is also a great YA/Adult crossover book for older teens.

While I didn't like this quite as much as Elatsoe, this was still great! I really loved the sections with Oli and the Reflecting World. Silent Ami was also a favorite.

This is a great pick for anyone who wants a twist on a portal fantasy!

Interesting but not essential. Perhaps if I were Canadian this would have more appeal but still a good listen.

This was a great memoir reconstructed from childhood diaries for Raina fans! 9/11 hovers in the future of the first pages and it's fascinating to revisit it from the eyes of someone only a few years younger than me.

Utter perfection. The way the characters deal with young adulthood (the 20s kind not the teen kind) and each other is beautiful. Those last pages really got me. Just a favorite.

It took me way longer to read this than it should have because once again, I inadvertently started a pandemic book in a pandemic. It was beautifully written but hard to read.

While I didn't totally love the art style, Hyman captured the tone and mood of the original short story perfectly. Also, I didn't realize he is Shirley Jackson's grandson! Cool!

At first I wasn't quite sure about this one because the sweet, somewhat stilted British-sequel language didn't work for me but I was win over by the story.

Chauncey was my favorite child - literally the best!

Cults are so fascinating and this was a great exploration of many of them!

I want to get back into the groove of reading poetry and while this isn't the type of poetry I normally read, I really enjoyed this! It made me laugh out loud and think deeply at different points which is the best kind of poem.

This was great. Hurray for a fat protagonist and a hot love interest! I especially enjoyed the snippets of terrible scripts mixed in along with the narrative - so terrible, hilarious, and plausible.

An absolute delight! I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Fantastic! I loved how I could have been happy either way whether or not Mandy got super powers . The book is about becoming who you are meant to be, no matter how difficult. Plus the art is A+!

This was beautifully written and researched. I knew a little bit about the case but not the whole details or the numerous trials. Definitely a new classic of civil rights literature.
