High expectation of sex leaves many teens disappointed, including the MC. Luckily for her, she finds a different treasure from the ordeal and starts channeling her inner Cartman.

Full Brutal is a pretty fun pop thriller; its highest points being the MC and the schemes she cooks. I felt the second part of the novel kind of loses steam as it wasn't a page turner like the first part but it ends on a quite high note as the last paragraph kicks the writing up a notch. Overall I'd totally recommend this book.

One funny thing I wanna mention is (and not in a critical way because I feel that is the point) the MC is a total cringe incarnate when it comes to movies. She feels very 'a kid has just discovered disturbing movies iceberg' which is not far off from what happens I guess. Believe it or not, it is worse with music. She narrates something like tuning the radio into her favorite music channel and that being a dead static... Please girl, at least namedrop Merzbow or something. That would make it inline with sneaking in A Serbian Film and Cannibal Holocaust into your conversations. I mean, it would still be cringe but it wouldn't be totally cliche and devoid of personality.

The story spends too much time on the MC's pre-character development stage. I'll admit, as an aro person, that focus on withdrawal from romantic love was a tiny bit fascinating to me but mostly? it was just annoying. Especially when I'm 100% on Sophie's side from the start.
