5⭐️. I feel dead inside knowing this series is over. I didn't want it to end. I can't even put into words all the emotions I felt through this epic journey...the character development (I love them so much), how well thought out the plot was. All the little puzzle pieces from the beginning of Aelin's story slowly coming together throughout the series as she continues to discover and learn new truths about the world/about herself, paired with the character development...I ATE THAT SHIT UP.
I love her so much as a character. She is so unpredictable and clever, I was constantly on my toes genuinely not knowing what was going to happen next or how she could possibly get herself out of these difficult situations.
You know a series/book is good when you can feel your heart RACING in one scene and breaking in another
3.5 ⭐️. It was okay. Okay, so I spoiled the plot twist by correctly predicting it from the very beginning. I agree with other reviews that the entire story was pretty much a lead up to the twist. It really didn't dive deeper into other characters and left a lot of holes/unanswered questions. I also felt the ending was very abrupt and at the peak of the plot twist/main plot point the entire story has been working up towards.....boom it's over. It left a lot to be desired. I found myself getting kinda bored at different long drawn out parts of the story, but overall it was okay and the overall concept of plot was engaging but slightly predictable.
3 ⭐️: Honestly this book was okay. I feel like it could have used more tension built up. It felt mostly like lust, not 2 people who have known/ disliked each other since they were kids. It was really sweet how he helped her through her fears/trauma tho. Also, my intro into cowboy romance and I'm diggin it
DNF.....just eww
