loved weitzman’s retelling of game 7 against the raptors, not just because i’m a raptors fan, but it just felt like there was energy. i could feels the suspense of the 4th quarter. also great to read about the role players that came out of the process-era sixers like RoCo, saric, and tj mcconnell!

i cried and i laughed and i got angry. this is exactly the book that i needed at this point in my life. god, what i would give to go on a road trip and make art about it. that's the fucking life.

did i understand all of it? definitely not. but i enjoyed reading it so much. the way it’s written is so fun and beautiful and it makes me jealous that i can’t even begin to write like that.

miscommunication tropes/slowburn can sometime frustrate the fuck out of me but i wasn’t that frustrated reading this. i actually liked the characters and felt like i understood why they were miscommunicating

wildfires + covid was a crazy time, wasn’t expecting to see it depicted in a book this soon but it was kind of awesome in like a wow that WAS really scary moment

this might be the perfect slice of life
