Why this book?
I believe boredom turns people who can read into readers. I was bored and had the television series tie-in book and read it because. The lead to classics that I had access to--Waiting for Godot, Gatsby... and I realized that the reason I got bored after a few books is that I chose weak books. I have not read this book in 30 years but it started me being a reader of distinction.
