this was an amazing read about what turned into a woman's obsession with finding the notorious killer haunting her home.

the writing was captivating and quite honestly, I didn't want the book to ever end. it's been a while since i've especially enjoyed an author's writing style. this could have been about the most mundane topic and I would have still loved it.

anyways, reading this made me realise what my friends must see or think when I bring up my love for true crime. but it also made me happy to know i'm not alone in finding an interest in such a dark yet intriguing topic.

my favorite murder introduced me to michelle and while im happy to have discovered this book, im sad that I didn't take an interest earlier, while michelle was still alive and active. I feel like I got to know her on such a deep level, that I know how ecstatic she would be with the news of the bastard's arrest and that she played such a huge role in finally hunting him down.

this was a lovely read. I was a little confused until it was spelled out for me, which was me being me ;w;

a great start to my oct spooky / dark reads. also I am very much in love with the cover, it's gorgeous.

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this but it was a surprisingly good read. I limited myself to reading a chapter a day, but I probably would have read it in a day if I hadn't.

after years of putting off reading this monster of a book, I decided to go with the audiobook instead and I'm so glad!

it was a slow start at first, but once I got into it I couldn't stop, though I did take a little break in the middle. I was quite literally on the edge of my seat at certain points, which I haven't experienced in a while.

I absolutely loved the writing, though tengo and eriko's relationship was a very uncomfortable thing to listen to.

I can't wait to read more of murakami's work now, and I've thankfully got a nice small list to go with!!
