My god. Dreadful does not begin to cover it. I get that it's supposed to be satire and I only kept reading because I had hoped things would improve towards the end but the main character remains deeply unlikely to the very end. I want the for hours of my life back!

Oh man, it breaks my heart but this book was so boring. I loved, loved, loved listening to Gerry on WSIX back in the day, he made me laugh so hard. Sadly his humor doesn't translate to the book at all. Felt like the most disjointed set of tales and although with some stories I could hear his voice in my head with the majority of the book it was just a slog. Will choose to remember him as he was on the radio :)
