Hearing the story of Kim Noble was so inspiring and eye opening. I have some sort of dissociative disorder and this taught me a lot about not only myself, but those close to me.
Hearing Patricia's side of the story was fascinating and makes me want to read the same book from all of her identities. It was horrific and terrible the things she went through, but I was enthralled. How could all these people not see it sooner? Obviously, because I knew the ending to this tale (I saw the Oprah documentary, which is referenced frequently) I knew that Patricia would step up as the main personality, I knew Aimee was going to be fine, I knew that the art helps the identities cope.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn what it's like growing up with DID and the effects it can have on yourself and others.

This manga had me ugly crying in the backroom at work. It was so good, SO IMPORTANT, and done fairly well. It made me uncomfortable, which was the point I think, because of everyone's prejudices (that teacher can suck a dick).
The ending gave me hope and it wasn't the perfect, happy, shojo ending I wanted, but a realistic one.

Arina Tanemura is my favorite manga artist and it took me forever to start this one! I actually have a German edition of volume 1! Sakura Hime is a pretty good start! I like that the couple confesses and “gets together” fairly quickly as opposed to her other series. I'm curious to see how the overall plot runs!
Edit 8/14/22: I finished the series!! I'm surprised at how it turned out (more characters died than I expected from Arina Tanemura) but it ended well I think! A bit rushed but I still enjoyed it!
Accurate rating: 4.5/5 stars
Dammit I need the second book now.
Okay, now that I can articulate my thoughts... oh who am I kidding, I'm still REELING at that end. I actually really liked it! I found that I began to fiercely love all the boys and precious Blue. I thought the plot was nice and twisty and a great adventure/mystery.
I'm really excited to see where it goes from here!! I still have some questions that need answers too: Spoilerwhat the hell happened to Adam and what does that mean for him? Does Blue and Gansey get together finally?? WHAT DID RONAN MEAN???
Overall, a great start to a intriguing series!
