The book started strong with a compelling prologue but suffered from its excessive length. The narrative's momentum, built by short chapters and a point-of-view switch, was lost after the halfway point when the story began to rely more on exposition than action. The twists in the second half felt less impactful due to the narrative's decline and my growing disinterest. I also believe the character Liv was a weak link, failing to add anything meaningful to the plot. The initial excitement I felt at the beginning was replaced with a sense of weariness by the end. I also had an issue with the book's inaccurate and clichéd portrayal of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).
