Straightforward telling of the movie.

Interesting mystery, though overly complicated again. Always a good story though. (Why is Robin always on a diet though?)

This was really cute. We read these as kids and my mom got this one for my son. It's a sweet book about family, getting together, and looks being deceiving.

This is a good little book form of the Winnie the Pooh cartoon. My son loves this one; the moose face still weirds me out...

Overall I really enjoyed this. Some of the stories were better than others (part of why I dislike story collections generally), but even the ones I didn't like as much were really charming. They're all very different vignettes of life and really enjoyable.

This was really lovely and heartbreaking. It's beautifully written and you feel for Alex at every turn, and want to yell at her too. There's so much emotion and feeling in Alex, you want her story to be different than it is.

Took a while to finally read the last story - my son definitely has his favorites. Overall these are pretty good, they retell some episodes of the show.

This was really excellent. A couple of the selections weren't great for me, but the rest more than made up for them. I loved Arrival and wanted to read that story (and the rest) and it did not disappoint.

This was cute! We sort of read this together, my son identifying some of the ones I knew he could. The things in the house are fun and the rhymes are well done.

Overall I enjoyed this. I'm down for a weird community/religious group, so I liked that part. I didn't care for some of the witch stuff, it just didn't make sense, like there was backstory we should've had but didn't. But overall this was enjoyable.

This was very good. It was interesting getting the viewpoints of “regular” people who were the titular travelers in the third reich. It was also interesting watching it all close in around the visitors. Really excellent overall.

This was pretty cute. My son loved the kerchoos.

This was a cute book. My son really enjoyed it.

Read for the first time in the year:

This was pretty good. A bit long and weird, but cute in the end.

This was pretty cute. It was weird that it rhymes occasionally but not always.

This was fascinating and I wish I could remember where I heard of it! While this is the story of leprosy and the Carville leprosarium in Louisiana, it's mostly about the patients and how they lived. It's so heartbreaking in places and inspiring in others. Such a good book.

This was really good. There's a lot of detailed information here for the various areas of the home from Britain throughout the last handful of centuries. (Still don't like this narrator though.)

Overall I enjoyed this, though some parts were more enjoyable than others. It wasn't quite what I expected but still enjoyable. (I did not care for the narrator of the audiobook, but that is not a problem with the book itself.)

This was fine. Other books have covered the material better, and without the personal story (which felt a little gross in places), but it wasn't bad, so... three stars it is.

I really enjoyed this, despite how long it took me to read. Some of the pieces are dated and uneven, some are really interesting, but the comments after each are really excellent even if the articles aren't.

Fun little Halloween parody of Goodnight Moon.

This was pretty cute. Some good rhymes, some not as good. The illustrations (Quentin Blake!) are great.
