As Azrie's first outing as a writer, I think it was a solid start. I found the initial hook good enough to get me going in the book, and I personally love the archetype of a drain tank. The world building was enough to paint the world as different than earth but still had similar themes to plenty of video games. I felt like the flaws were starting to show when it comes to the power scaling of the world. The levels flew by too fast and I found myself forgetting what all the abilities did because they became too complicated. Level ups became tedious as well simply because of the mass amount of repeated words and numbers, and stats quickly became relegated to number go higher. As for Amber as a character, she was given the briefest introduction on Earth that at least shows her drive as the basis for her growth. She does show some good character growth outside of powering up as she becomes less like a human from Earth.
This book sorely desired more editing. Phrasing was awkward at some points, and words were repeated too much in my opinion. Transitional statements felt too heavy handed at points, and the use of the word "discombobulated" was too high.
