The murder of a young teenage boy shocked the Chicago area - and then horrified an entire nation. Two young men, both from a privileged background, were accused, and later convicted of the crime.
Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb had everything one could think of - but they craved adventure. From petty crimes, they eventually graduated to murder. Their victim was a relative of one of the young men. It seemed to be an unsolvable case - until a pair of glasses led to a suspect, and eventually confessions from the killers.
This case - no matter how many times you read or hear about it still sparks anger within communities. It was senseless, and just used as a thrill for two young men.
Nothing But The Night dives into the lives of the men, the families, and eventually through the case and their life in prison. I enjoyed this book, and the informative way it was laid out.
As the family members start to fight back against the Bell Witch, they are going to discover its not as easy as they think.
Some are finding family members sold out, others are finding they were not told everything - but together, they can come together to try and break the curse.
Great book. I enjoyed this one. Interesting take on the Bell Witch haunting.
Refuge seems to be the perfect place to hide away from the terror of the Kurtain Motel, but Patrick is about to discover a horrifying truth.
While you might think you are leaving the motel, think again - you might just be stuck in a recurring nightmare, just waiting for you to make a mistake, and take your soul.
Great read!
Everyone knows the legend of the Bell Witch - but for some, it is more than legend.
As family members struggle to find the key to keep the curse from coming forward, each fails in turn, and time is running out before something worse is released.
What a read, I was not sure what to expect, but I was sure surprised. Look forward to seeing what the rest of this series has to offer.
Run, run, as fast as you can...
No matter what they do, the nightmares continue to close in. Until they confess their sins, they are hounded - once they do, they are doomed.
As Patrick and Jimmy race to find Tara, and hopefully save her before the soul collector inside her brings her to ruin, there are other entities to be dealt with - and time and space have a funny way of shifting.
This was perfection in a book, and a great read. Sad to see this series end.
You can always enter, but you may not be able to leave.
As the Kurtain Motel is the only place along the lonely stretch of road to stop, many are huddled within, waiting out the storm that never seems to end. Time is funny, with night never seeming to end.
Enter all those who dare, and confront your inner demons.
Great read! I LOVED IT!
The Hotel Cecil has been a suicide hotbed for a long time. Before it became run down, the Cecil was a swanky place to hang out, located near the bustling business center. The recent deaths in the hotel, have brought a spotlight back to the hotel.
Interesting history and ghost story mix. I enjoyed this one!
Interesting collection of stories from around the United States. Each state has a unique history and story - and some of these have spawned into legends and paranormal stories. Sightings and stories have grown over the years.
Interesting collection of stories. I was familiar with several, but there were a few that I didn't know about.
The murder of the Moore family and two of their young friends has shocked people for decades. The senseless murder, the gruesome crime scene, and the lack of anyone being held accountable has led to many believing that the house itself is haunted.
Richard Estep goes inside the house and discusses his investigations there, as well as some others that have been done inside the home. This was an interesting look at the case, the paranormal instances that have occurred.
Interesting read overall!
Most are familiar with the crimes of John Wayne Gacy. The twisted nature of his crimes have not gone without many writing about it, documentaries, and so many other medias. His crimes shocked the nation - especially over the ages of many of his victims.
This was an interesting read, with the history and paranormal investigations. Enjoyable read.
When headstones were moved, but bodies left in the ground, the city started a grave injustice. Hoping it would go away, and no one would remember, they did everything they could to tamp down the stories about the bodies left in the ground. Now, these bodies have new buildings built on top of them - and they are determined to make their presence known.
Really enjoyed reading through this one. Interesting history, and the stories from those that work in the building were pretty fantastic.
