I thought parts of it were very sweet and it was a good, quick read, but just left me feeling a little underwhelmed

3.6 pretty good!

4.7 might be a 5

Turns out people were not lying when they said this guy is one of the greats. After this book I'd put him up there with Salinger tied for favorite, 5/5

4.1 really really good

3.25, made me queasy. Humbert is hilarious, pathetic, and monstrous all at once. To be frank some portions dragged a bit towards the middle but the ending is comical and helped make up for it

The cold hand of despair reached its fingers through my ribs and ripped my heart out when I got to the end of this book. 5/5

Look at me, David, I'm a little boy. 4.5/5

It's Salinger of course it's a 5

Pip you snot nosed little prick you get your ass back home and apologize to Joe. 4/5

4.5/5, I think I'd rank The Idiot higher than this but nonetheless still fantastic

This took a such a weird turn, reading the twist was like the literary equivalent of hitting my funny bone 3.5

I was a huge fan of the first couple of books, and this one wasn't bad I guess. Just felt silly, and I wasn't a huge fan of how the story wrapped up

One of the best protagonists I've ever read, super funny writing, great messages

4.1, really enjoyed it. Cool subversion of some tropes. Climax was a bit iffy, but the epilogue was touching.

Update: rating is closer to a 3.7, I was being too kind because i thought the ending was cute

Might be the best book I've ever read

3.4! Some interesting stuff, but not very scary and dragged at times.

best part about a stephen king book is waiting for the part where he throws something in that's unnecessarily weird and takes you out of it for a second. this one did not disappoint. great read!
