Although I did enjoy this book, I do believe the first 2 books based around Shannon & Johnny felt more compelling maybe or more in line with the romance I feel close to. I do love the rawness of Joeys love and pain in this book but did have to take a few more breaks reading this, due to the harsh nature of Teddys character and how Joeys pain and addiction is portrayed. I deeply relate to Joey survival instincts and overbearing weight of family on his shoulders and parts broke my heart for him. I think we’ve all been Aoife at some point in love, and I can’t wait to read the next book to see where their unconditional commitment/ sacrifices to each other takes them.
a really heart wrenching story that captures the essence of love, not only for others but for yourself, especially when navigating how to deal with losing the person you love most. i absolutely love how all the characters and story was written, it was incredibly raw and genuine (yes i cried a bit!!), whilst also being a book that kept me believing in love💟
