Great book. The magic system (if you can call it that) is super interesting.

Good short read. Brought issues to my attention that I was previously unaware of!

Great finish for a great trilogy. Really happy with the ending. Had to deduct half a star because I loved the art style of the old illustrations more but these new ones were still really pretty.

What a ride. These characters will stick with me for a long time. I couldn't put this down and I found it gripping even in what I'm sure others would consider to be the boring parts. I felt the bleeding emotions coming out of this book and I adored it.

Spy vs. Spy but make it sapphic. Loved this one! Short and sweet.

What a great book. Mateo and Rufus tell a really interesting story that had me gutted at the end. I love how the side characters tie into the plot.

It was cute and I enjoyed it. I could've done without the scene at the end of chapter 15 though. I liked that there was a lot of casual LGBTQ+ representation in this book. The plot was enjoyable and interesting for sure.

I adored this book! Skedi is my favorite character. Unfortunately my library doesn't have the third one so I'm going to have to pause this series until I can buy it 💔

Loved it and so excited to read the next one. One thing I really appreciated is that this book manages to be very diverse and inclusive ESPECIALLY for a fantasy novel. I found the characters to be very compelling. I read this book immediately after finishing a sci-fi novel, so I struggled to get into it at first (I have a hard time switching between fantasy and sci-fi) but the plot was gripping enough to engross me. Very excited to read the next one!

Amazing follow-up to The Forever War. This book really subverted my expectations.

Started just a little slow but once it gets going it's fantastic. Not a lot happens but also a lot happens! Love the concept of time dilation. I know it's not original to this book but it's fun wherever it's implemented.

Absolutely looooooved this book. I am so excited to read the third one.

I did not like this book! The first part in particular was borderline unbearable and I almost DNF but I prefer to finish books even if I'm not the biggest fan. I can't stand the main character or Sarah J. Maas's writing style. There are so many things frustrating to me about this series that this book turned up to 11. Some things I did not like: the overuse of the words "male," "female," and "mate," strange punctuation for questions ("What."), the main character(s) having insane plot armor, constant repetition, either trying and failing or not trying at all with the concept of show don't tell, and so many more. The latter half of the book where there was less of listening to the vapid main character and more of showing things happening was definitely better but still not great. Like other people mentioned, the lack of any real consequences in the end was bizarre considering how dark and messed up this series likes to think it is.

I totally meant to read the other "The Housemaid" by a different author but I'm really glad I made that error! I really enjoyed this book. It was a little predictable but I didn't mind and I did like how the twists were unveiled.

I liked it better than the first one for sure.

I really enjoyed this book. Vampires are always cliche, but I really like that this book is both willing to be cliche and eager to try new things. I'm really excited to start the next one.
