The concept is pretty cool. It's a bit too stylistically like other attractive teens save the world from some disaster type movies and books that are out there. That said, I'm interested enough to read the next two.

If you've read the first book, this is about on par quality and enjoyment-wise as that one. The cool old photographs I think are a little less literally a thing they are looking at like in the first one and more an accompaniment to the story. Still very cool.

It's about 3.5 stars. I really liked this book but the first fourth to maybe third of the book is tough to read. The main characters style of speech and level of understanding of what's happening around her make it hard for you to suss out what's happening. After that though it really picks up and I blew through the rest of the book.

I greatly enjoyed this book. The photographs enhance the writing in a unique way. Very excited for the film version.

It never focused on the character that I wanted to know more about. I'm a fan of Person of Interest the CBS show so I went in to this book with slightly different expectations. Though, I didn't find it unenjoyable to read. It was just all right. Sub average.

This was my first Star Trek novel. It was pretty fun but I have no basis of comparison when it comes to Star Trek literature. It did feel like a TOS episode or film written out. So if you find that appealing give it a read!

The book was written in a style that was hard to get into. Deforest, the man, was just so inspiring and interesting that he kept me reading. The ending was terribly sad and poignant. I don't consider 3 stars to be a bad rating.

I've read Wong's ‘John Dies' books and I love his writing style. It's quick witty and funny. This one was a smidge more witty than I would have prefer though. Like the characters had a writing team behind them. Which is a weird thing to say for a book. Still I found it quite entertaining and it reads quickly.

Way too much jargon and 33% and still not to the main point of the book.
