
It feels like this book was written by someone who loved the original author's work but didn't have the comedic chops to continue its legacy. To Eoin Colfer's credit, he doesn't try to write in Douglas Adams' voice, however, this just leave it feeling like a completely unnecessary entry into the series. I preferred having the series open ended and unfinished to this.
