Fairly pedestrian fare for Star Trek books. No original ideas, but an amusing adventure anyway. Still, it’s peppered too liberally with gratuitous space-y terminology where it’s not necessary and some character actions just don’t seem plausible.

Yikes! This book is haunting, even as more history has happened since its initial publication in 2012. The evidence about the subject helps to paint a portrait of the man – something that we still see even today.

The plots in this series are increasingly ridiculous.

Fantastic read! It felt like something built on top of other literary works, but adding something new and interesting. I could not put it down!

This book truly scared the hell out of me. I didn't know about some of the history presented throughout the text, and I'm bothered by that. Overall, I'm left afraid of what will happen to America and Europe in the coming years.

The story is interesting and moves as a fast pace. However, I found the gratuitous violence and over-the-top America worship to be inexcusably distracting. Characters don't get wrapped up very well. Takes away from what could have been an excellent read.

Such an awesome beginning to a series. I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough! Very much looking forward to the next book.

I wanted to give this book a shot. Really, I did. But after suffering through one grammatical or syntactical error after another – within just the first 10 pages! – I had to stop. I'm sorry. I'm sure the story has potential, but the lack of polish really put me off.

I have to agree with other reviewers... this book starts out with an unrealistic relationship and goes downhill. Couldn't finish it.
