This book was so real, so humanizing, and having it told from death's perspective was fascinating. It delivered complex topics in a way that was appropriate for younger kids, but it was still so, so real. A timeless and incredible book.

Why this book?
It started my passion for justice, which (unexpectedly) ultimately led to my career in criminal defense. It's a good reminder of why I do what I do and why we can't ever stop paying attention to the world around us.
