Kate Beaton shows her full range in this wonderful graphic memoir. Telling the story of her time working in the oil sands of Alberta, she makes you laugh, cringe, despair, cry.

Highly recommended, one of the best graphic novels in recent years!

A nice Neo-Noir which was recently adapted into a movie with Ryan Gosling (which was very good). Don't expect plot twists or deep psychological evaluations of the main characters, but if you want a stylish, fun and short read this is as good as it gets.

Always funny, often hilariously true and sometimes heartbreakingly sad. One of the best books I've ever read, a true classic which everyone should enjoy at least once. Highly recommended.
