Lots of new and interesting characters enter (and some leave) Percy Jackson's world. His encounters with the Gods are great to read and the non-action scenes aren't entirely boring. Once again, the ending leaves the reader wondering what's next!

Obviously a children's book, but the subject matter is such fun that I just didn't want to put it down.

Chairbeasts, ruglings, and bedbeasts?! I never imagined the future could be so ‘organic'! Mike Brotherton's characters are believable, and the setting is fantastic. Best of all, this book is available for free! I read it on my Android phone using the Aldiko app (another great find).

Again, took less than an hour to read. More interesting than the last, owing to the intriguing main character. It looks like this series is a novel that has been hacked into many pieces. One could probably put all the entries as chapters in a ‘Lost Tribe of the Sith' book.

Typical Children's book. Nothin' special here.

Surprisingly relevant for such an old book, and great fun to boot. The author writing is lucid - just the way I like it, and the characters are well formed. John Wyndham weaves a believable Post-apocalyptic world!

There was nothing new in this book for me. Themes I've encountered before and the same old uber-powerful hero. On top of it all, everything felt rushed. A bit of a disappointment, this one.

Combines the best qualities of the earlier books, and even improves upon them. Nathaniel has grown up, Bartimaeus still can't hold his tounge, and the story is grittier, darker, and at times, touching. A masterpiece of an ending. Jonathan Stroud is awesome!

Darker than the last one (not detrimental), but suffers from being the ‘one-in-the-middle'. Still an excellent read.

Easy, fun read. Bartimaeus is funny as hell, and the story is engaging. It also has a few dark moments. Lots of fresh ideas!
