As someone with a soft spot for Pride & Prejudice along with a love for Historical Fiction, I believe Hadlow stayed true to the themes and feeling required to extend this story. While there were times I was so angry at Mary for her decisions, Hadlow's writing was truthful and honest. No character is perfect and they operate under their own environment. I enjoyed this novel deeply and would recommend it to anyone who finds enjoyment in the original novel.

It is a quick, satisfying read. The story can be a tad predictable but it is still one worth reading! A wonderful afternoon soft and simple read.

I can't even begin to explain how invested I am in Tilly and Nicholas' story.

Teddy is a gem

I loved the way the author made you truly care about both sides of the story. Normally, I tend to be biased but I loved every second.

Normally, I heavily dislike when there are two perspectives however it is a brilliant way to fully care about both main characters.

It has a slow start, but once the ball starts moving the romance and the drama bloom.

Fantastic mix of fantasy and historical fiction!
