I read books to escape and this one was just quirky enough that it felt realistic but also a little fantastic at the same time. I really love the character development throughout the book, however the plot felt all over the place and I really didn't think the ending worked well. A lot was left hanging, but maybe that was purposeful. I guess I'm just one of those people that really likes nice, neat endings, which made this ending very unsatisfying.

I really enjoyed how the author approached a really difficult ethical dilemma.

I really enjoyed this book until the very end. I thought it ended really abruptly and the epilogue was actually a little confusing for me. I had to read it a few times before I understood what was going on. Overall I thought it was a good look into how everyone in a family deals with a child's mental illness.
