Very interesting and an overall great read. The narrative is hard to follow due to the nature of the book. It explores very topical concepts like self propagating ideas and how they can influence our society. A short read and very much worth it.

I love the universe and love the characters. I've gotten very immune to the recycled narrative tools though.

Good book that checked all the right boxes for me. It has a little too much geeky casual sexism for me to give it a 5 star.

A pretty solid read on understanding strategic non violence. It has a good overview of Francis Fox Piven's theory of disruptive power for Saul Alinsky's relational organizing. The book has a very liberal and centrist view of change and organizing but it's the best one I've read from this perspective.

I try to reread this book every year or so and it never fails to disappoint.

We need more comics like this.

It's not a bad history but it goes into a weird malthusian kick every now and then. I came for the random facts about the history of Alachua County, which it has. But the more interesting parts were briefer then I'd like.

Good read but uses some dated (period) language that's pretty racist. I get it, it was written a long time ago but still.

Really great book. The detail pulls you in but it's pretty repetitive.

Anansi Boys was better imo.
