See allI know that the Nick Stone series isn't all about action-packed adventure. But this is just bad. The most boring book of the series to this point.
First half was okay, reminding me of the previous Pearce novel. But then it switched to a gore-fest instead. Skipped large parts just because it was boring. Especially the drugged parts. It's enough to know a character is drugged and babbling. I don't need to read page after page of it.
My least favorite of the Virgil Flowers novels. Sandford seems to be slipping lately.
It took me a few days to get started, but once I did, I couldn't put it down. Coben laid out the clues and twists perfectly to keep me guessing, and more importantly, keep me reading.
As the number of pages until the end dwindled, I wondered how Goldman was going to wrap everything up. Well, he managed it, and it was a surprise.
