I almost DNF this book and the whole series for that matter because I could not see how the author was going to redeem Lara for her actions. It just seemed like there was no way to salvage her or her story. I am glad I continued on and read the next book in the series. Although not great, I do think the Author did a decent job of redeeming her. After the first book, the series really picks up speed and is a great series. You just have to get through this first book.
