I was completely astounded by the turn the book took in the second part. It was nothing like I expected. The book is radical, very complex and surreal. Lots to think about. Yeong-hye is a very layered character. Others, not so much. Is turning against yourself the right kind of rebellion against oppression though? I guess everyone can decide for themselves.
