Sophie Lewis is nothing if not thought-provoking. I know this manifesto will be sticking with me for a long time. One of the things I most admire about her work is how she both dreams big and also resists the demands of modernity to articulate too specifically what is ultimately beyond all our imaginings in the hegemony of our current systems. To cherry pick from blurbs on the back, she is equal parts rigorous and generous. Two quotes that exemplify this dialetic for me: "...all beings exploited by capital and by empire are basically homeless" and "What would it mean to not need the family?".
