I LOVE this series. And this was my favorite book so far. It had me laughing out loud. 
The writing and the plot are all top notch. 

Interesting and smart take on long distance generation spanning space travel. Focuses a lot on communication and language, as well as societal development across generations. Its a strange book to be sure, but it is so well written I thoroughly enjoyed it. Definetly planning on reading the other two books in the trilogy.

A decent into to creating and using a digital zettelkasten. 
If you are interested in this note taking method its worth a quick read. 

The Running man demonstrates what can happen when the rich keeps being rich and the poor get poorer. Unchecked air pollution, terrible works conditions for very little pay, limited access to heath care. The book takes place in 2025, I read the book in 2025. It almost scary how close some of the political/corpo story lines seem real. All this being said, the boom is a fastpaced heart pounding adventure, it will make you happy, mad, sad, and pissed off all at the same time. Definetly worth a read, but be in the right headspace before you start.
