It’s a good romantasy but it didn’t blow me away.

This is one of my favorite books of all time! I loved it as a kid and I still think it holds up as an adult.

I loved this book! It wasn’t really a ghost story but it had that vibe. I’ve loved the references to Native American folklore. I loved Selena. Her awkwardness was very relatable. Grandma Billy was very funny and I loved how comforting Father Aguirre was. Definitely read if you’re a dog lover! 🐶

I loved this book as a kid but I think there are certain things about it I appreciate even more as an adult. It’s darker than I remember it being, although it is a lot like the movie. I listened to the full-cast audio and Kit Harington was amazing as Gilderoy Lockhart!

This book is a dark look at the duality of man. It’s very different from the way Jekyll and Hyde are portrayed in pop culture. After reading it, I found out Stevenson was dying of tuberculosis as he wrote it, adding a whole other dimension to the story.

This book is amazing! I love the eeriness of Jack’s slow descent into madness. It’s not super scary but it just hits right. I could definitely see myself rereading this in the future. I love a good ghost story and this might be the best one!
