Let's be clear—Xaden Riorson has solidified his spot as my number one book boyfriend. No competition, no debate. After re-reading Iron Flame, I'm even more convinced he's untouchable. Sir, take a bow. You've earned it.

This re-read was a journey. Months later, my perspective has totally shifted. The bickering between Xaden and Violet that once annoyed me? Now it feels layered and purposeful.

As for my theory wall? Absolute chaos. Red string everywhere. Some theories from my Fourth Wing re-read are rock solid; others? Utterly obliterated.

And now, we're nine days out from Onyx Storm, and I am feral. Bring on the heartbreak, the chaos, and all the Xaden moments. ⚡

Well, I'm glad I stuck it out because yay for the happily ever after! 🎉 The characters definitely faced their share of challenges and came out stronger for it, but let's be real—when the male main character was all, “I should've told you from the start,” I was sitting here like, you think?!

The bonus epilogue didn't hit for me, though. Without spoiling too much, it felt like they had to sacrifice something big to “win,” only to magically get it back in the end. Unrealistic? 🤷‍♀️

Overall, it's a cute story, but did it really need to be stretched into multiple books? Probably not. One effing book would've done the job!

I had to make an important revision to my book boyfriend list... because Xaden? He's officially off it. He's now in a category of his own—book husband! 😍

I devoured this book at a much slower pace than usual (which says a lot), because I just knew there were Easter eggs, hidden clues, and things I'd want to highlight. And let me tell you—this book? Hands down the best in the entire series so far!!!

Since it's still a hot release, I'll keep my lips sealed on spoilers, but I can confidently say this was an easy 5-star read. There's so much to unpack, and I'll probably be processing it for a while. But one thing's for sure—I'm having the absolute time of my life in the Empyrean! 🔥

Audiobook was near flawless. A few lines repeated...maybe missed during editing? But I still LOVED the narration.
