You stare a storm coming, it blows you, you think you are going to fall anyway due to gravity, but just as you are going to land, one more storm comes over. It goes on & on till you loose all hope of touching ground. Prophet Song is relentless in its pursuit of depicting grief & human's insatiable desire to hurt another human. Writing is poetic & feeling is shaken.

Being a caretaker of an Alzheimer's patient (mother), this book is really an amazing find in the library. I learnt a lot about the disease &, more importantly, learnt what might be going inside my mom's head as it is collapsing rapidly towards oblivion. The writing is heartbreaking and comforting at the same time.

A comforting book to read during post-Covid with some surprising new details, well researched, & helpful practical advise.

After reading the whole 12 chapters, I can confidently say, twitterverse is disingenuous in their treatment of it to be some sort bad omen and this book & the author should rather burn.

If nothing, then it's a nice crash course on many aspects of Christianity. I also felt that if looked a bit carefully then many concepts/preachings could be related to stuff in Hindu mythical texts.

The gender conundrums have been discussed a bit more than my liking but it's never dishonest.

Chapters are not evenly spaced and hence it's a dud many times.

Overall, I feel JBP is honest in the renditions of his theories which could never be dismissed just with some bogus adjectives.
