I tried processing how I felt about this book but then just decided to go ahead and write what I think.
I liked Elliot and Macy but I kind of saw the whole thing coming. And I understand the whole soulmate situation but I honestly wouldn't take Elliot back if I was Mace. See, I think there are two possible scenarios as of why he did what he did and while SA is reasonably fair, I don't think being hammered is. Hate the fact that they just let it go. I mean Macy told him what happened; who is going to tell me?!
I liked the Unhoneymooners more than this. It was a three stars read for me; the fourth is in courtesy and out of love for Nikky, my buddy-read partner for this book. She gave it five stars.
I respect people who love this book because the overall vibes are great but if one of you could explain why this book should be romanticised, that would be great!
Unpopular opinion: 4.25 ⭐️
I have to say I loved the banter and everything was really good.
I liked it more than the first book, for sure. There was something missing but I don't know what it was.
And I'm really looking forward to the last book because I loved Cal in this book. His snippets in this book kind of reminded me of Kenji Kishimoto combined with a little Loren Hale (haven't read addicted series yet but I know he is in the first book and has addiction issues). That's a great sign for me. Let's hope that books serves.

I liked it in the beginning but somewhere along the way it fell flat for me.
And the storyline kind of got repetitive over time.
The plot felt rushed when it came to the part they built over the entire book. I'm talking about Zach.
And for whatever reason, she didn't feel independent and confident to me after all the said “character development” throughout the whole book.
It felt like a variation of the deal by elle kennedy. But worse.
I'm now debating if I want to read the queen's cove series. Same author.
Miscommunication trope had never worked for me. This is the only exception to the rule.

“God, this is turning into an Oscar speech. I'll wrap it up. It's no secret that I love books. I love stories about people I don't know, and places I haven't been to. I've lived a thousand lives between a thousand pages, but no story, no life, no page has ever made me as happy as you do, Russ Callaghan. Before I met you, I hadn't considered what my happy ending might look like. I wasn't sure I'd get one. You're my happy ending, Russ. I fell in love with you in this place, and watching you help build our life here has made me fall in love with you a million more times. Thank you for giving me a life that feels too good to be true. Thank you for letting me bring home animals even when you say no. Thank you for letting me live my dreams every day.”
I'm not crying! You are!
The third act breakup scene was not actually a breakup an he still did not stop going behind her even when she said really hurtful things to him.
If he is not obsessed and whipped for me the way Jack is for Rose, I do not want him.
They're the only Jack and Rose that matter.
This book is probably what it would be like if ‘trouble in paradise' was a book. I absolutely love this book and I adore it with my entire heart and soul.
I don't want to hide the whole review and so, I'm putting in a manual spoiler alert!
~~~~~~~Spoiler alert~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After waiting for one book and one novella, this was the book where all the Warner and Juliette romance finally set in and tbh, it was so thrilling and astonishing.
I am really starstruck by this man. Honestly? How can a man with such a terrible childhood, father and present; be such a softie? He is so freaking adorable!
Juliette was being whiny throughout the whole book but I guess the ending revelation of what she has finally chosen to become, was worth all that bad trip.
Elena Gilbert finally chooses to live like Katherine Pierce. Except in this case, they're not doppelgängers but are, in fact, two versions of the same person.
I am so excited and cannot wait for her badass era to begin.
1 star because that's the lowest possible.
Novella 1.5 made me fall in love with Aaron.
Novella 2.5 is made me hate Adam!
One star because I hate Adam and there's no going back. The book was good. I mean, the descriptions and the whole build up and I respect him for his loyalty but damn, is he a misogynistic douchebag.
He forgot James AND Juliette. So engrossed in himself and so full of shit, this guy.
4⭐️ A great first book to set up the vibe of the whole series.
The whole setting is very interesting and the writing is lyrical in the best way possible and imaginable.
The whole post apocalyptic storyline was something I am very familiar with but the plot otherwise kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the book.
I kept constantly coming up with theories and setting up my mind as on which characters I liked and I didn't only to change my entire perspective in the next chapter. The whole narrative seems unreliable and reliable at the same time.
I can see what everyone has been raving about.
