I got this expecting a music book, and it really isn't one of those. It's a story of addiction and loss, clothes and celebrities, trauma and abuse. Tony is not a likeable person for much of this book - however, he presents his past, and himself, honestly.

A good fun and pulpy read. Great for taking on holiday. Especially for gamers - non gamers less likely to be interested. Not suitable for kids.

A decent story with a sympathetic main character. I didn’t read it as a thriller though. The world building and back story is good. It didn’t blow my mind but no regrets. I’d read the sequel.

I especially enjoy books about ideas and concepts - this is one of those. I woke up thinking about the book, and finished it quickly. Not strong on characters and plot development. Will definitely be a Netflix sci fi series in the coming years.
