Such an incredible book - so well written with such engaging characters. My friend and I read this together as sort of a “book club” and we could not put it down - if we hadn't preset specific chapters for each week, I think we both would have finished it in a week!

It took 150 pages to get interesting, and though I did enjoy how well the original series felt entwined despite it being a prequel, the ending was anti-climatic. Giving it a 3 purely because I'm a tried and true Hunger Games fan, and I loved all the little references to the original series.

Funny and really easy to follow as an audiobook! It's in the form of essays, and for someone just easing into listening to more audiobooks, this was perfect. I've always appreciated Mindy Kaling's wit, humor, and honesty and this was a great extension of that.

I'd like to write “I want my words to collect dust” on my soul forever. Lovely collection of poems.

The stories about his mom were the BEST PART! I had a harder time following because it wasn't chronological, but the ending made it worthwhile! Definitely the best audiobook and autobiography I've read.

Sweet and easy YA read. Makes your dream of Paris and believe in wishing on stars and falling in love with your best friend.

2.5 but I rounded up because it was an easy read. The character of SN is cute, but I figured out who they were within the first few chapters. Nonetheless, still a sweet YA novel.

I enjoyed it, but I have absolutely no idea why. Connecting with characters is important to me, but I couldn't connect with a single character in the book. Maybe it was the dream of New York that kept me reading.

I love being able to pick up a book and just disappear in it in one sitting - and this was the perfect fit.

A little long - but I loved that it was based (somewhat) in real events post the 2016 election. A really great read to help me through the past few weeks, and the week following, and it definitely made me feel hopeful about politics in red states!

I'd give it closer to 2.5 but definitely not deserving of a 3. I missed the inability to put the first one down that this one just didn't possess. I think the biggest miss for me was how many secrets the Bayview Four we're keeping vs our three main characters in this one not really keeping anything from the reader at all. Sweet sequel, nice to see how the four and Maeve shaped out, and really enjoyed Phoebe and Knox, but just not nearly as compelling as the first.
