Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone

Hilarious book. The mystery is tackled by pieces in such a sarcastic way. You get invested on all the characters and not everyone's kill is what it appears to be. Truthful follower of the detectives rules, it feels the reader has all the ingredients they need to crack the case. I would say thou, the end it still not as smooth and cathartic as I would have wanted to.

Yellowface

What is more important, the one who got the idea or the one who did the work to bring it to light? Hilarious characters that I loved to hate, yet I could see some of myself in them. The fear of being expose and the imposter syndrome. The way the main character approched learning about another culture from a curios, academic and systematic way is beautiful. As it feels like a deep dive in aims to honour this space you may not have been born into but whose story is worth telling.
