I love these books. I have most of them both in print & on audio book. Davina Porter is the best possible narrator for this series. Her accent is on point.

I love this series, as well as the author. What I love about this particular volume is seeing the same time period from another main character's point of view. It lets you see just what was going on in the the rest of the world while October was ensorcelled. I loved getting a closer look at the Court of Cats, as well as Thibault himself. And the character development was fantastic as always. I hope we get to hear from Thibault more in the future.

This second volume of the Elemental Masters is a little better than the first. I like the depiction of the Hindu gods. I like the way the magic is portrayed. I like the characters. That said, the resolution of the plot is still weak.

Readable, as always, but I feel like it was a poor follow-up to the first book.

Mercedes Lackey is readable. And that's about all I can say about her. Not sure where the climax is. One of the main characters spent a lot of time searching for a cure for his curse. He finds it, then decides he doesn't need it & lets it be destroyed!? I feel like it makes most of the book pointless. This author excels at weak plot resolutions. I fail to see how she is an award winning author.
