3.5 - I really thought I was going to love this book but it fell a little flat for me. Broder writes so beautifully and I feel like her style really works with this sort of a fever dream/modern magical realism vibe. That said there were moments that felt so out there or uncomfortable they lost me. I did read this as an audiobook - I might appreciate it more with a reread and discussion.
