the only scary thing about this book was its price

great concept, great plot, however the way soojin is written makes it hard for me to really connect with her.

i understand her grief and anger and she's extremely valid for that but also she feels like a compilation of tropes. despite having also just lost someone in my life, i am unable to connect with her grief.

the book is so beautifully written though, i have high hopes for future releases!

(also i think it's such a korean thing to use [name of character] mother/father instead of giving them names and that really irks me...)

that was sooo much fun!! can't wait to continue the series

if i reread it enough times and say MORE PLEASE again and again can i please get a book 3?

I really like the art, and I'm a huge fan of the original novels, however this adaptation just did not work.

It's been a while since I've read the books so I have a splotchy memory regarding the plot, but I still remember some important parts even I struggled with understanding the story :/. I was so excited for this too so I'm really disappointed.

started this thinking “oh we're gonna have so much fluff from these kids!” only to get hit with the fucking angst halfway through. worth it though.

dnfed @ 32% like i was trying soooo hard. the way alice's pov was written pissed me off so much

reading about sambal in a non-indonesian book was not on my 2025 bingo card

loved the atmosphere!

the author writes suspense so well here that i was still on the edge of my seat despite already knowing the ending.

enjoyed the book, the ending was a bit what the fuck moment though ngl.

this book, unfortunately, felt like two different stories mashed into one book.

individually, they're stunning. i loved both part of the stories. but together it was a chore to go through.

the story is quite short so i'm not gonna say much. i loved the writing and how the story went, with its cast that's full of eeriness.

i love their dynamic and banter, i loved the goryness and how the author didn't shy away from the brutal nature of the main character.

the flowery prose can be a bit much, but this book is the perfect length.
