Ah Kate and Anthony, probably my favorite pairing so far. I like all their dialogue together, and I felt as if it was a lot more light hearted than the show's depiction. And the spice, absolutely amazing. I just love this pairing, and I enjoy that Edwina got a happy ending because I love her as well.
I really enjoyed this book. I originally watched the show, and I also enjoyed that so I decided to read the books. Little did I know that I would prefer the characters in the book over the show. Daphne was a lot funnier and wittier. I found the duke to be a lot more pleasant. My only problem is that they didn't really flesh out the other characters. I loved Eloise in the series, but she is barely mentioned. We learn a lot about the brothers, I just wish the younger siblings had the same treatment.
The spice was good, although the one with Daphne in charge was kinda disturbing. But other than that, you can feel the passion of the characters when you read it.
Also love Violet, she is my best friend.
I really enjoyed this book! The multiple perspectives really makes it such a fast read, but also adds a lot of depth to the main conflict in the novel. The imagery is amazing yet disturbing, and I love that there is a romance even in such a hard time. My one gripe is Alfred, I really didn't like his character, and he was pretty boring throughout. I know that is probably the point considering he is on the bad side, but he isn't the good unlikable.
