See allAnother suspenseful yet heartbreaking tale by Higashino. The story basically proceeds as a How-Done-It-Murder-Mystery. While the story doesn't progress in a twisty, breath-taking thriller, the book is engrossing enough thanks to Higashino's densely woven writing, intelligent investigation, and some wonderful characters. But the twist at the end, which the whole story builds up to, is both surprising and emotional. The author then takes the story to another level of emotion, and concludes with a heartbreaking ending. Keigo Higashino became one of my favorite authors.
My first book reading by world-famous thriller author Dan Brown. And guess what, it's a breathtaking journey. Serial killers, time bombs, puzzle breaking, conspiracies, secret societies, assassins have all the elements of a thriller and the book has moved forward at rocket speed. The reader's hair will stand up in excitement while reading the book. The book is excellent as a thriller.
A great psychological thriller. Thomas Harris is able to get on the nerves of the reader the most. The most terrifying, dark side of the human mind is revealed in this book. As well as problems like corruption in the law enforcement agencies, problems like interrupting the powerful in everything have also come up. The characterization of the main characters is the best. The character of the serial killer is given a little less prominence, so that Hannibal Lecter can have the lime light. And that character has cracked it. All in all, this book will always stand as one of the best in thriller literature.
Man, what can I say about this book! It's a journey. It is a journey where the reader will know how secret killers work, how international intelligence agencies work, how the geopolitics of Europe in the sixties were controlled. That is, they have emerged with great realism and detailing in the context of fiction. And simply, Forsyth's sharp writing will always hold the reader. And the second half of the book is like a roller coaster. All in all, The Day of the Jackal is a master piece thriller.
An excellent thriller. A mind-blowing mystery unfolds in the twist of a simple story. The character development is great, and the world building of the story is fantastic. Overall the first book in the ‘Millennium' series is an unforgettable thriller.
