Book starts out as a really solid and engaging romance. Loved how the romance felt earned, and the mystery behind Maria's stalker definitely added a tense edge there. But the way the story wrapped up towards the end felt a bit jarring compared to the slow-burn romance of the first half. I think the story could've taken a much more satisfying direction if the climax remained a bit more grounded and character-driven.
