Even better the second time

I had wanted to read this for a while and re-read Sand immediately prior. I was pretty disappointed, the book is fine but the convoluted character viewpoints and time jumping didn't add much for me and still left the ending pretty obvious from a ways off.

What annoyed me most was the number of discrepancies between this and the first book, some stuff was expanded upon but other stuff was outright changed which was a bit jarring for me.

A bit hard going at the start but well worth it!

Over 1000 pages of build-up. Loved it all! Very excited to get into the story in Volume 2...
