A long ride across twelve dense books, and I enjoyed every stretch of it. The characters are deeply drawn and the perspectives shift in ways that let you watch every race grow, with understanding blossoming between them and real power emerging from that evolution. The final book wraps the threads beautifully. I'm left with questions about what comes after, but the rest filled me up enough that I'm happy to leave them open, and curious about where this world lands years down the line.
Book 11 keeps the series moving by widening the lens beyond Arthur, and most of the new perspectives earned their page time. The shift gave the world more weight and let side characters feel like people instead of scenery. Cecilia was the exception for me. Her arc never settled into a clear shape, and I came out of her chapters less sure of what she wanted than when I went in.

There's nothing like feeling represented. A number of the stories resonated with me. Diving in to the experiences of multiple people felt much like reading Chicken of the Soup. The adversity many felt at a young age led them to become who they are today. It's hard to manifest negative energy into a positive outcome, yet each and every one of these people has done just that.
