The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife

Wrote a review for

Found this audiobook on hoopla and the premise sounded interesting. The narrator was great and I loved the Aussie accent. This story is about dear Frederick Fife whose life changes when he comes across a group of nursing home residents. I love the trope of found family and this was a sweet book. The characters and relationships were nice to listen to (some more annoying than others *cough cough Patricia) and the plot had you thinking certain characters overlapped, but it is revealed that they just share similarities. I wasn’t affected emotionally, though that was clearly the intention. Just can’t fake feelings.

I could totally picture it being a movie and listening to the author’s acknowledgments at the end, it looks like it will become one someday.
