Ashes of Man was one of my most anticipated books this year. So when I revived an ARC from Netgalley, I was so happy. And it did not disappoint.

Everything I love about Sun Eater is in this book. Quiet retrospective character moments, excellent prose, fantastic world-building, and explosive action.

I will definitely do a reared on audio when it comes out because I miss Roukin's voice.

Reamde combines typical Stephenson ramblings on tech and economics with explosive action, great plot and cool characters. An excellent technothriller!

A cool idea with a somewhat flawed execution. The first half of the book dragged a bit. It should've been about 20% shorter like many classic sci-fi stories. But the ending was worth it.

Not bad for a debut novel but I can see why Stephenson disowned this book and tried to remove it from printing.
Some of the Stephenson's signature style peeks through but overall it's pretty underwhelming in every aspect. Definitely do not recommend this one as an intro to his work.
