Loved the twists in this one, could hardly put it down.

A riveting story told from Lisa, Ava and Marilyn's POVs.
Lisa is a mother running from her awful past (snippets are revealed along the way and in the second half of the book, continue to built to reveal after reveal!)
Ava is her daughter hiding secrets of her own.
Marilyn is Lisa's BFF.

I've read a LOT of psychological thrillers and this is one of the best, absolutely riveting!

I loved the WW2 story of Alina and her struggles in Poland, and enjoyed Alice's current day struggles with her autistic son and gifted daughter.

The dual timelines are interwoven beautifully.

I love Julie Cohen's books and this one is no exception.
She has skilfully interwoven the tales of Louis/Louise, fleshing out the differences of gender, and melding it into a wonderfully compelling novel.
I cried several times and I rarely cry while reading!

Saw this recommended by several authors on Twitter and while I usually wouldn't buy a novella I couldn't resist.

Their chemistry is electric but it's the banter that gets me every time.

I loved the author's voice and the way she brought the characters alive.

When the two reunite in the town that sparked their romance...a lovely romance unfolds.
Thoroughly enjoyed this and looking forward to reading the rest in the series.

The speed with which I devoured this book tells you how good the book is, read it in less than twenty-four hours while on my own deadline!

I loved how the story unfolded, from the end to the beginning, revealing intriguing layers of Emily and Robbie's lives throughout the decades.
While I picked the major plot twist early in the story (it's an occupational hazard of being a writer!) it didn't diminish my enjoyment one iota. In fact, as the pages turned to the great revelation, I found myself wondering if in fact I'd guessed right.
