The coworker is a book with multiple narrators and a generic storyline. However, it is still a good read for those looking for a quick and easy read.
The multiple narrators can be a bit confusing at times, as the story jumps back and forth between different perspectives. However, it also allows the reader to get a better understanding of the motivations of each character.
The storyline is fairly generic, but it is well-written and engaging. The characters are also well-developed and relatable.
Overall it is a good read for those looking for a quick and easy escape. It is not a particularly groundbreaking or thought-provoking book, but it is still enjoyable nonetheless.
I followed this story from day 1. I am for lack of a better term a crime junkie. This guy was and is a horrible human being. This book did present some viewpoints that I had never thought of. It also went into more depth than the documentary as well as the media coverage. This is so sad the way he did this family and seems to not care at all. This book is a must-listen or read if you follow crime. It gets more into his head than the police portion. Prayers to all of the people that were harmed by this tragic event.
I ran across this book on my Hoopla app. I decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed. Ed reminds me of myself in a way. He was socially awkward. He was a good man but people saw him as weird. This story was funny and romantic also. I can not wait to read more of the books Kristen has written.
I enjoyed this book. I see several people complain about it. The message is not being received I presume. She did “sleep her way to the top” but at what cost? Her relationships with friends and family suffered as a result. She wrote this to let little people know that this is not the way. Also, to show that just because you have money you still need to know your worth.
I love the book. I usually can guess how it will end. This one had me guessing until a certain part I picked up on a phrase and I was right. This drives my wife nuts lol. This is the first book from this author that I have read and I was not disappointed[b:Just the Nicest Couple 60666845 Just the Nicest Couple Mary Kubica https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1659111505l/60666845.SY75.jpg 95560159]. I wish we could have heard from Jack in the book also. But, this is a entertaining read for sure.
Sis, you make it hard. I try to read books in other genres and by other authors. But this lady here makes it hard for me to do so lol. I love this book the ending is exactly what I expected and my desired outcome. I never want this story to end at all. This is a must-read it ties up loose ends from the previous book.
I recently listened to the audiobook version of this book. I had been looking forward to it. I was left feeling slightly disappointed by the experience, as the story seemed to jump all over the place. The narrator's voice was also quite grating at times, in my opinion. I plan to read the author's other books in the series to see if I started off on the wrong foot. Despite the overall experience, I still believe the book is worth reading.
I was left underwhelmed. It came off to me as a rant instead of informing me of the downside to CRT and abortion. Most of the statements made by him were more opinion and not fact. IDK it was some good content in the book, but some of the stuff just hit me bad. Also, I have never heard of CRT until now. I have never been taught to hate white people. Where does he get this from. From my understanding CRT is a college course not high school or lower. He talked negatively about democrats, abortions etc. Not one mention of republicans etc. All of them are equally bad in my eyes. That is just my opinion. If you read this I encourage you to read White Fragility.

Ms. Colleen Hoover is one of my favorite authors. This book took me some time to read due to the assault and mental health aspects. Besides that, the book was a good read.
Asa- your typical “bad guy” he was arrogant, abusive, and a criminal, amongst other things. I was so angry at how highly he thought of himself. That is a typical man though from my experience. I loved the character development due to the backstories being told. He ended up getting what I think he deserved (do not judge me)
Cater-He caused as many problems as he solved. But, without him, the leading lady would have most likely had a horrible ending. He loves fast and hard but to a fault. Love caused him to get involved with Sloan who was a mistake. He is human like we all are. He is a good man. He was my favorite character.
Sloan-Lastly, we have the main character. She is dedicated, loving, and broken. This is the reason she deals with the abuse on top of her brother's situation. I was also mad that she did not ask what he did for work when their relationship started. Especially after her assault on their first date. She constantly made excuses for why these actions kept occurring to her. Sadly, this happens too many times in American culture. People think they have no way out and deal with what they believe they have to so they can survive. I think she is awesome and I am glad she finally found happiness in the end.
This is a good book I loved it. I have read so many of Colleen Hoover's books and I have not read one I did not like yet. This is a book worth reading and I am glad I did. I could on and on I do not want to bore you any more that I have.
It was a decent book. The constant talk of how much money the family had, for example all of them had planes and villas. They also didn't talk like normal people in my opinion. They talked more like Shakespeare's time. It was weird, too. A few phrases were repetitive. It's a good read if you want to just burn some time otherwise no.
I did enjoy this book. I wanted it to be longer (I am selfish). I just think more could have been done with the story. The characters were could have used more depth for me. I also was looking for several dead girls which did not occur. This is a book that I think is worth reading. I hope it evolves into a series.
I rarely give five stars but this book earned it.
Take My Hand is loosely based on true events. The main characters include Erica, India, and Civil just to name a few. India and Erica are two patients that end up being some of Civils first patients. She eventually finds out that they are in unfortunate circumstances. They live in filth, and the walls in their home are not up to par. They also do not even have running water or food. Civil makes it her mission to ensure these girls are well taken care of. But, like any story, there are bumps in the road. This book had it all drama, romance, education, and history. It opened my eyes to topics and injustices that I never even knew about and I love history. This is a must-read for any and everyone. I hope this review helps. I do not want to spoil it for anyone. I completed this in one day if that tells you anything. I hope you enjoy it.
I enjoyed this book. It is not what I expected but I still loved it. I thought it would get more in-depth about the underground railroad itself. Still, the story was good and the characters were lovable or easy to hate lol. This book gives you hints about what slavery did to all people involved. It also touched on the effects that are still occurring today. This book is a must-read. I hope you enjoy it.
Wow just wow
This book was a few things. Vulnerable, strong, eye-opening, and touching.
In the before portion, Jennette let us into how she was raised. This showed me why she is the way she is. She dealt with a lot during this time such as being forced to take showers with her sibling and having vaginal exams by her mom until she was almost an adult. These are just to name a few. The trauma that was derived from the abuse she endured was unknown to her for the longest. Unfortunately, you cannot fix the problem if you do not know you have one.
The after, she discussed her sex life, dating life, how she views relationships, as well as how she handled love. This girl went through so much at home and at work (the director at Nick being a pervert being one of them.) I feel for her and know why she got out of the spotlight to take care of her mental and physical health. This is a good book to read or listen to. I was a fan of hers any way I am a bigger fan now. I can go on and on so let me stop now. I am team Jennette, not team Ariana lol. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.
I have really never gotten into this genre. But, this is a good book. The storyline was fine. I just found Ford to be so materialistic I did not like that, just my opinion. Eve was so precious I found myself smiling when she was interacting. The main lady was sweet and also loved her. I wish the mom had reappeared as well. To go more in depth on why she left and what happened when he found out about paternity. This is just me being picky. It's worth the read.
