Quite a humorous look at Desjardin's experience in Norway. As with any book about the experiences, it probably tells us more about the author than Norwegians. But for anyone who has spent a bit of time in Norway as a foreigner, there are quite a few moments in the book that you'll recognize.

Fast and entertaining read.

Easy reading and essentially The Martian but set in intergalactic space. Entertaining, while sometimes a bit repetitive, following Weir’s well-known structure. In my opinion quite a bit more lucky breaks for the protagonist than necessary, so it feels a bit less realistic than Weir‘s previous work. Overall, thoroughly enjoyable reading.

Ist das die Zukunft, die ich mir wünsche? Nein. Ist es realistisch, eine realistische Zukunft? Hoffentlich nicht. Ist es ein Spiegel, was aktuell passiert mit unserer Welt? Ja!

Short, to the point and really makes you think.
